When we found a colony of penguin-like creatures along the way, I thought that there should be no penguins in the Arctic. But later I looked it up and found out that it was the Great auk that appeared in the work, which became extinct by human hands in modern times. It was a learning experience.
It was a good piece of work, both from a gaming and pedagogical point of view.
